God Heals the Broken Hearted 3

The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me, Because the Lord has anointed Me To preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to those who are bound; Isaiah Chapter 61 verse 1.

“The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free,to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor .Luke Chapter 4 verses 18 to 19.

But beloved, please wait a minute. Did Hannah’s unhappiness on account of Peninah’s venom make Peninah a happy woman? Not at all! Peninah continued in her misery as she really and truly was the unhappy one who could not find anything to be happy about in life. In reality, Peninah was the one who needed help be it spiritual, medical, psychological, emotional, you name it; urgently. Yet, Peninah hid her unhappiness and great need for help in bullying Hannah mentally. Are you a bully? You need help urgently as a bully is actually manifesting his or her great cry for help in whatever form s/he bullies other people. Unfortunately for Peninah, no one took notice of her great and desperate cry for help as Elkanah focused his energies on consoling Hannah and reassuring her of his undying love for her. So, Peninah suffered and unleashed her pain and anger on Hannah.

While Peninah enjoyed her evil reign of torturing Hannah mentally and spiritually; year in and year out, God was at work in the life of Hannah. Gradually and progressively, Hannah came to realize that God created and owned her life for a purpose. One day, Hannah rose above the mental and emotional torture, made peace with God; restored her relationship with God; akin  to what Elijah did for Israel in 1^st Kings Chapter 18 by restoring the altar of the Lord. Thereafter, Hannah experienced an abundance of the love of God, the peace of God and requested for a child. She also experienced and enjoyed more of the love of her husband and an abundance of the fruit of the womb just as Israel experienced abundant rainfall after the restoration of the altar. Her broken heart had been healed.

Also, God exceeded the expectations of Hannah and made her a mother of four sons and two daughters. Significantly and quite instructive to all bullies and those who allow themselves to be used as tools of satanic oppression in the hands of the enemy; no mention was made of Peninah and her children after Hannah became a mother. Additionally, Peninah and her children are not mentioned in the genealogy of Elkanah. What a way to be delisted from God’s written history of families. Peninah expunged herself and her children from the genealogy of Elkanah by her bitter heart and venomous mouth. Great lessons to learn from Peninah’s heart and tongue!

God Heals the Broken Hearted 2

He heals the brokenhearted and bandages their wounds. Psalm 147 verse 3

A broken spirit dries the bones. Please see Proverbs Chapters 17 verse 22, 18 verse 14. A broken spirit aggravates sickness. A broken spirit can be referred to as heartache or sorrow of the heart and such conditions can make a person broken hearted. Please see Proverbs Chapter 15 verse 13. What are the causes of heartache, and broken heartedness? Some of the causes include failed, stormy, unfulfilling and askewed relationships, unmet desires, betrayal, anxiety (Proverbs Chapter 12 verse 25). A perverse tongue such as the tongues of Peninah, Shimei can also make the victims of such tongues to be broken hearted. Please see Proverbs Chapter 15 verse 4.

Peninah’s heart and tongue are appalling. Peninah had everything any woman could probably ask for in life – she had a wealthy loving God fearing man for a husband; had unnamed number of children, lived in a big beautiful home with a number of luxury items and probably had a large housekeeping and wardrobe allowance. Yet Peninah was an unhappy woman full of bitterness and envy. She envied Hannah because Elkanah their husband loved Hannah more. Additionally, Peninah grew her envy to great trees of bitterness which she mentally processed as verbal venom, which she released at Hannah at will with the singular objective of making Hannah miserable.

Beloved, I dare to say that Peninah was a septic tank of verbal venom designed to overwhelm and poison Hannah to a state of great anxiety that would make it impossible for Hannah to eat. Ironically and quite sadly, Peninah enjoyed the satanic mission and assignment of unleashing verbal venom on her fellow human being and her fellow woman with whom she shared her husband, Elkanah. To state it mildly, Peninah was vicious. It is one thing to be nasty because you find it difficult to deal with negative emotions but for a person to actually enjoy being nasty and spill out verbal venom at the drop of a hat speaks of utmost depravity, loss of humanity and any iota of goodness. Peninah had lost her humanity and was a very useful instrument of satanic oppression in the hands of the devil. Her heart crafted evil words and utterances which her despicable tongue; a tongue which was greatly in need of healing released with reckless abandon. Her heart was a bitter factory of evil while her tongue was a leaky faucet of verbal venom. Please read 1^st Samuel Chapter 1 verses 1 to 10. She succeeded for a while in making Hannah miserable because Hannah was ignorant of who she was as a child of God. So Hannah wept sore and refused to eat.

Elevate Your Tastes

Where you are presently, no matter how seemingly satisfying it is; is a place of transition. You have to keep moving up the ladder, updating yourself spiritually, physically, martially, intellectually, emotionally, financially and materially. You should continue to add color to every area of your life. For instance, you are obligated to dress to match the position and resources God placed at your disposal. A person’s dressence and grooming to a large extent is a reflection of where the person is headed in life. Some cuts and style of clothes reflect rigidity and a refusal to move with the times. Such people are usually stuck in their ways and will not move in any new direction. In some cases, it is as a result of ignorance or lack. Once such people are empowered, they will move in the new direction God wants them to move in.

Be open to fresh unctions, changes from God. Change is a constant and necessary ingredient for progress. Change your methods to match who and where you are. It is time to move up the ladder. Move out of limiting environments, relationships and circumstances at the speed of light. Identify what God does not want you to carry into the new things He is doing in your life. They could be fear, doubt, disempowering relationships, limiting thought patterns, study habits, eating habits, etc. For instance, when experience becomes tradition, it becomes dangerous because experience boxed in becomes bags of limitations.

Therefore, innovate, create and impact through possibility thinking, possibility speaking and possibility implementation to get to the top and stay at the top where you will be celebrated. There is an anointing for staying at the top. Get the anointing, get to the top and remain there. Make your stay at the top permanent. Get there and stay there. Stop coming back to ignorance, obscurity and mediocrity.

One way of making your stay at the top permanent is to expand the time you spend with God. That is the start point for elevating your tastes. Spend more time with God in the closet. Operate a more organized prayer life that should become the norm in your life. A diligent and fervent prayer life on a daily basis that is not by might nor by power but by the Spirit of God is what you require. Please see James Chapter 5 verses 16 to 18. A fervent prayer life is one of the keys that will improve and elevate your taste. Pray more, study the Bible more, talk less – prophesy when God wants you to and keep quiet when you are not prophesying. Grow spiritually in prayer, word study, praise/worship, evangelism, intercession. As you continue serious and sincere in prayer, be very careful to notice any signs of danger or trouble and give thanks. Be alert, be devoted, have a thankful heart (Colossians Chapter 4 verse 2).

Break with the Past

Break with the past. Do not allow the past to hold you back. Do not expend your energy trying to fix what does not work. The past cannot be changed. Stop holding on to the past; do not allow your past bleed into your present to change your future. Do not allow the past to misdirect your life. The potential, the success inside you is greater than the previous and present successes you have experienced – Isaiah Chapter 43 verses 18 to 19.Therefore, do not let either past successes or adversity stop you from being the best you can be. Don’t let life make you change your name. Simply learn the lessons required from the past.

Be optimistic. Trust God when it looks like things are going backwards. Get to the point where you can trust God to let things go. It takes great peace to accept the times you are in. You may be aborting your own prophecies because you are trying to save what God has already cut off. Some blessings are seasonal blessings and once such seasons are over, you let go. God brings people into your life to do certain things. When their assignment is over, let them go and move on. The plan is a process leading to the purpose. Therefore, celebrate the new relationships in your life as well as what God is doing in your life now.

Give Up Limitations

Limitations are obstacles and barriers designed to keep a person, people, families, communities, businesses and nations from moving to their God ordained heights in life. Limitations vary – they can be man-made, self made or satanically engineered.  Permit me to say that satanically engineered limitations are easier to dislodge if a person is in Christ Jesus and living right. But self made limitations are especially difficult to dislodge as they are strongholds in a person’s mental processes that only the truth of the Word of God can dislodge. For this to happen, a person has to believe and accept the truth of God’s Word as final so that the self made limitations can be dislodged.

That is why I dare to say that what you hold on to, to an extent is an evidence of the height you have purposed to remain in and that to a large extent determines how far you want to get to in life.

Holding on to something you consider very dear or important can constitute a major limitation to your progress and increase. That is why giving up limitations is the fastest way to increase and progress. Giving up limitations is also a way of stretching your faith, trusting God to take you to a higher altitude in life. Do away with limitations by giving up that thing which God wants you to give up. Otherwise it becomes a stronghold which barricades your progress. Significantly, such things may not necessarily be money, talents, skills, expertise, time and material resources for the work of God.

Excel into Global Limelight

Do you see a man who excels in his work? He will stand before king: he will not stand before unknown men, Proverbs Chapter 22 verse 29.

God’s will is for you to excel into global limelight, abundance, honor and fame which He ordained for you from the foundation of the world. A number of biblical success stories attest to this.

Huram was a craftsman, an engraver. But the Bible records that Huram was a highly skilled engraver who could make any engraving, and could accomplish any plan. This was what qualified him to serve as the master craftsman of King Hiram of Tyre. At the request of King Solomon for a skilled craftsman, King Hiram sent Huram with very strong recommendations to King Solomon. Huram lived up to his reputation and served King Solomon for several years – he worked on the temple, the articles of worship in the temple in the temple as well as the palace of King Solomon. Huram did indeed stood before Kings – from King Hiram to the wealthiest and wisest King of his time. Please see 2^nd Chronicles Chapter 2 verses 7, 13 to 14. Others include Ezra the Priest (Ezra Chapter 7 verses 6, 10 11, 21, 25), Daniel (Daniel Chapter 5 verses 11 to 14, 6 verses 1 to 4, 1 verse 4); Bezalel (Exodus Chapter 35 verses 30 to 35), Joseph,(Genesis Chapter 41) .

Respect Divine Opportunities

There are times to maximize opportunities. How? By respecting opportunities and leveraging them for success.

      Invest in a fervent relationship with God.

      Respect the grace of God in your life.

      Study and meditate on the Word of God on a daily basis.

    Respect the Holy Spirit and do not grieve Him

      Therefore, do not push to tomorrow what you can do today. This is to say that you are to avoid procrastination as you can miss an opportunity through procrastination.

      Do not despise people. Treat people with respect irrespective of their size and how they look.

     Genuinely care about people and show them that you actually care. This is because people care about how much you care and not what you know.
