Awesome God

Written Uyoyou Christiana Charles-Iyoha

Breathtaking views
Ocean blue, sky blue
Undulating landscapes
Greens, yellow, purple, red
The beauty of His creation

The essence of His glory
As I ponder on His love
Especially His patience with me
Forgiving and purging my sins
Cleansing me with His blood

To daily exercise dominion
Rule over the earth
Not by might nor by power
But by His Spirit
In me through the complete work of Christ
I am one of His wonders

The God Who always does wonders
For me, for you
For His Church, for His creation
Rescuing me, you from harm’s way
Give Him glory, honor and praise.

He Deserves Your Thanks

Give thanks to the Lord and proclaim his greatness.

Let the whole world know what he has done.
Sing to him; yes, sing his praises.

Tell everyone about his wonderful deeds.
Exult in his holy name;
rejoice, you who worship the Lord.
Search for the Lord and for his strength;
    continually seek him.

Remember the wonders he has performed,
his miracles, and the rulings he has given,

you children of his servant Abraham,
you descendants of Jacob, his chosen ones.
He is the Lord our God.
His justice is seen throughout the land.
He always stands by his covenant—

the commitment he made to a thousand generations.

This is the covenant he made with Abraham
and the oath he swore to Isaac.
10 He confirmed it to Jacob as a decree,
and to the people of Israel as a never-ending covenant:
11 “I will give you the land of Canaan
    as your special possession.”
12 He said this when they were few in number,
a tiny group of strangers in Canaan.

13 They wandered from nation to nation,

    from one kingdom to another.
14 Yet he did not let anyone oppress them.
He warned kings on their behalf:
15 “Do not touch my chosen people,
and do not hurt my prophets.”
16 He called for a famine on the land of Canaan,
    cutting off its food supply.

17 Then he sent someone to Egypt ahead of them—

Joseph, who was sold as a slave.
18 They bruised his feet with fetters
and placed his neck in an iron collar.
19 Until the time came to fulfill his dreams,[a]
    the Lord tested Joseph’s character.
20 Then Pharaoh sent for him and set him free;
the ruler of the nation opened his prison door.

Why You Should Exercise Dominion

Written by Uyoyou Christiana Charles-Iyoha

The sum total of what I do with TIME
Sleep, eat, laze about or work
Or jest, gossip, curse
Or study the WORD, meditate the Word
Worship God in quality praise
Ascribe honor to Him Who gives me dominion
Or feed my eyes and mind on worthless things
Dominion, how I invest or fritter time

Dominion is the birthright of every child of God. God created you to have dominion. It was not an afterthought. Please see Genesis Chapter 1 verse 28. To exercise dominion is be masters, to rule and exercise control. Beloved, God created you to rule, to exercise control over His creation. Please read up Psalm 8 verse 6, Genesis Chapter 1 verse 28, 1st Kings Chapter 4 verse 24, Psalm 110 verse 2, Proverbs Chapter 4 verses 23 to 24, 1st Peter Chapter 1 verse 13, Luke Chapter 10 verse 19 for details and Holy Spirit inspired insight.

You need faith in God to exercise dominion. Therefore, anchor your faith in God and not people, resources or circumstances. The word of God is a major component of the Christian faith which explains why you should exercise your faith on the basis of the word of God. Please read 1st John Chapter 5 verses 1 to 12. Christians are to walk by faith and not by sight as instructed in Hebrews Chapter 10 verse 38, 11 verses 1 to 40, Habakkuk Chapter 2 verse 4, and Romans Chapter 10 verse 17. The word of God is what builds your faith.

Nestle in His Love

Written by Uyoyou Christiana Charles-Iyoha

God is still in the business of making impossibilities possibilities. Please see Luke Chapter 1 verse 37, Mark Chapter 10 verse 27, Jeremiah Chapter 32 verse 27, 17, Daniel Chapter 2, Esther Chapter 7, Exodus Chapter 14, Ephesians Chapter 3 verse 20, Luke Chapter 18 verse 27, Psalm 62 verse 12. Hard work and being smart is not always the answer. The answer is in God for the race is neither to the strong nor to the swift.

God never fails. He always shows up in the nick of time. God has seen your tears and your tears have broken the gates of brass. God is sending help now. Stand still and see the salvation of the LORD. You just stepped into God’s divine PURPOSE for your life.

God will overwhelm you. He is a winner any day any time. Every sign of defeat is an indication that you are not with God because God is always with you. Besides, God has set before you an open door and no one can shut.  Please see Revelation Chapter 3 verse 8, Lamentations Chapter 3 verse 37 and 1st John Chapter 5 verses 14 to 15.

Keep your mouth shut. God Knows Everything. Nothing can terrify God. You should not be in a hurry to jump out of God’s hand, plans and purposes.  Joseph endured the pit, Potiphar’s house and prison before the prestigious Ps of palace and Prime Minister.

Keep Your Gates Open

Written by Uyoyou Christiana Charles-Iyoha

Therefore your gates shall be open continually; they shall not be shut day or night, that men may bring to you the wealth of the Gentiles, and their kings in procession. Isaiah Chapter 60 verse 11.
There is a correlation between open gates and wealth, abundance, prestige, honor, favor.
Thus saith the LORD to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have holden, to subdue nations before him; and I will loose the loins of kings, to open before him the two leaved gates; and the gates shall not be shut; I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight: I will break in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron: And I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I, the LORD, which call [thee] by thy name, [am] the God of Israel. Isaiah Chapter 45 verses 1 to 3.

Open gates symbolize progress while shut gates symbolize lack of progress, stagnation and retrogression. The people of Jericho probably understood this which explains why they shut the gates of the city of Jericho against the children of Israel enroute to Canaan. The closure of the gates in order not to allow the children of Israel passage meant that the children of Israel would wait endlessly and ultimately die of hunger and thirst without ever getting to Canaan. But God intervened in their situation and they made progress to Canaan.

When the enemy shuts out certain gates against you, it is for the purpose of frustrating you, bringing you to  appoint of doubt and sometimes unbelief and when you stagnate in doubt and unbelief, you retrogress into what the devil and his cohorts wants; which is absolute mistrust of God and His word so that you walk in the ways of the devil and become an enemy of God.  The ultimate purpose of this is destruction.

Elevate Your Tastes

Written by Uyoyou Christiana Charles-Iyoha

Where you are presently, no matter how seemingly satisfying it is; is a place of transition. You have to keep moving up the ladder, updating yourself spiritually, physically, martially, intellectually, emotionally, financially and materially. You should continue to add color to every area of your life. For instance, you are obligated to dress to match the position and resources God placed at your disposal. A person’s dressence and grooming to a large extent is a reflection of where the person is headed in life. Some cuts and style of clothes reflect rigidity and a refusal to move with the times. Such people are usually stuck in their ways and will not move in any new direction. In some cases, it is as a result of ignorance or lack. Once such people are empowered, they will move in the new direction God wants them to move in.

Be open to fresh unctions, changes from God. Change is a constant and necessary ingredient for progress. Change your methods to match who and where you are. It is time to move up the ladder. Move out of limiting environments, relationships and circumstances at the speed of light. Identify what God does not want you to carry into the new things He is doing in your life. They could be fear, doubt, disempowering relationships, limiting thought patterns, study habits, eating habits, etc. For instance, when experience becomes tradition, it becomes dangerous because experience boxed in becomes bags of limitations.

Therefore, innovate, create and impact through possibility thinking, possibility speaking and possibility implementation to get to the top and stay at the top where you will be celebrated. There is an anointing for staying at the top. Get the anointing, get to the top and remain there. Make your stay at the top permanent. Get there and stay there. Stop coming back to ignorance, obscurity and mediocrity.

One way of making your stay at the top permanent is to expand the time you spend with God. That is the start point for elevating your tastes. Spend more time with God in the closet. Operate a more organized prayer life that should become the norm in your life. A diligent and fervent prayer life on a daily basis that is not by might nor by power but by the Spirit of God is what you require. Please see James Chapter 5 verses 16 to 18. A fervent prayer life is one of the keys that will improve and elevate your taste. Pray more, study the Bible more, talk less – prophesy when God wants you to and keep quiet when you are not prophesying. Grow spiritually in prayer, word study, praise/worship, evangelism, intercession. As you continue serious and sincere in prayer, be very careful to notice any signs of danger or trouble and give thanks. Be alert, be devoted, have a thankful heart (Colossians Chapter 4 verse 2).
