Prophetic Declarations

Written by Uyoyou Christiana Charles-Iyoha

Jesus is the Light of the world (John Chapter 8 verse 12) and anyone who walks with and follows Jesus Christ does not walk in darkness because s/he has the light of life that flows from Jesus Christ. Please read John Chapters 1 verses 1 to 9 and 12 verse 35. Also, the light of God gives speed because the light gives divine direction and understanding. Please read Psalm 119 verses 130 and 105.

I pray and declare that as Jesus the Light of the world comes into your life, you will receive strength to do what God wants you to do to fulfill purpose; birth new visions and dreams, attain new heights designed for you from the foundation of the world; be uplifted high above satanic manipulations and oppression; be sought out, relevant and honored in the nations; and be handsomely rewarded to enjoy great wealth in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

As Jesus the Light of the world dawns in your heart, every darkness around you will be dispelled; every ignorance will disappear; fogs will also disappear and the knowledge which comes from the Light of Christ will flood your heart to make you flourish, prosper and be strong in every area of your life in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Please read Luke Chapters 1 verse 79, 2 verse 32, Isaiah Chapter 9 verses 1 to 2, John Chapters 1 verses 1 to 9, 8 verse 12, 12 verses 35 to 36, and 46.

Jesus the Light of the world will strengthen you in every area of your life to become who God created you to be. Allow His glorious Light to flood your heart so that you will become the children of light since you are now light in the Lord and since Jesus has given you light. Please read Ephesians Chapter 5 verses 8, 14.

The Lord shall enlighten your darkness in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. The Psalmist acknowledged God as his lamp and the only One Who could enlighten His darkness. Please read John Chapters 1 verses 1 to 9, 8 verse 12, 12 verses 35 and 46, 9 verse 5, Isaiah Chapter 9 verses 1 to 7, please note verse 2, Luke Chapter 1 verses 78 to 79, 2 verse 32, Acts Chapters 9 verses 1 to 5, 26 verses 9 to 19, Hebrews Chapter 1 verses 1 to 2 and Psalm 119 verses 105 and 130.

The Light of God is armor but only becomes an armor when it is put on. Therefore, consciously and deliberately wear the light of God at all times. Please read Romans Chapter 13 verses 1 to 14. God bless you and multiply you on all sides as you do so in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
God bless you and reveal His divine will and plans for your life on this wonderful day that He ordered your into DARE TO SUCCEED blog. You are welcome in Jesus mighty name.

Be blessed and enlarged in Jesus mighty name; and please do come again, with a friend or a family member.

Move to Rehoboth NOW

Written by Uyoyou Christiana Charles-Iyoha

Rehoboth is the place of great fruitfulness; increase, refreshing still waters and opportunities. Rehoboth is the land of divine opportunities patiently waiting for you. Your Rehoboth is a city set on a hill which cannot be hidden. Your Rehoboth is where global visibility, significance and relevance awaits you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Global visibility and fame is for the purpose of feeding the lambs of God, tending the sheep of God and feeding the sheep of God. It is not to celebrate you but the great grace of God upon your life.

Significantly, your Rehoboth is a place free of limitations,, spite, ill will, hatred, envy and wickedness so that you can expand and make progress as God would have you progress. The Philistines clogged the wells in order to spite Isaac. If they had a need for the wells, they would not have clogged them with dirt and debris. Rather, they would have used the water for profitable agricultural and even nonagricultural activities.

Spite is a tool of the enemy used by his human agents to avert or slow down the plans and purposes of God for a believer’s life. There are quite a number of instances of such in the Bible. Spite is used by the enemy to wound a person’s spirit through humiliation whether in public or private. The intent is to incapacitate the person from moving forward.

Peninah for instance already had children and enjoyed her husband’s wealth and therefore had no business mocking Hannah who had none then. Yet, Peninah consistently used spite against Hannah by ridiculing and mocking Hannah daily simply because Hannah had not had children then. Though Peninah succeeded and made Hannah’s life miserable, it was only for a while because one day, God opened the eyes of Hannah to who she – a daughter of Zion. Thereafter, Hannah dried her tears and took her case to the God of all creation Who said that none would be barren in His house. Hannah became the mother of children named in Elkanah’s genealogy. Significantly, not one of the many children of Peninah were mentioned in the genealogy of Elkanah.

Speak Powerful Words

Written by Uyoyou Christiana Charles-Iyoha

Going through a long line of prophets, God has been addressing our ancestors in different ways for centuries. Recently he spoke to us directly through his Son. By his Son, God created the world in the beginning, and it will all belong to the Son at the end. This Son perfectly mirrors God, and is stamped with God’s nature. He holds everything together by what he says—powerful words! Hebrews Chapter 1 verses 1 to 3, MSG version. Hebrews Chapter 1 Msg version

Words frame thoughts; give flesh and meaning to thoughts. Most importantly, words define a person as well as tell where a person is headed and whether the person will actually get there. That is why the Bible in Proverbs Chapter says that a person is what s/he thinks about and voices about himself or herself.

Therefore, if you permit the devil and his cohorts to put words in your mouth so that you constantly voice his words, then you will be working willingly with the devil to reverse God’s plans and purposes for your life. Beloved, you do not need such satanic intervention in your life. The Israelites tried it in the wilderness. When the ten spies were sent to explore the land of Canaan, some of them returned with a negative report; not only about the land but also about their ability to take on the land. They concluded that the people who lived in the land of Canaan were bigger and stronger; and in comparison to the people, the Israelites were like grasshoppers, significantly and quite instructive in the eyes of the eight spies who gave the negative report.

Quite significant and instructive, the spies who voiced this report were assenting to wrong words, words put in their hearts by the enemy. Unfortunately, they were also lying; using words designed by the enemy to stop the progress of the people of God to the Promised Land. The first lie they told was that the land devours those living in it. If the land was busy devouring those living in it, how then did the same land produce and accommodate the giants and the powerful who they claimed made them look like grasshoppers? Also, a land that devours those living in it would not produce such great bountiful harvests that two people had to carry on a pole just a single cluster of grapes along with pomegranates and figs.  So the unbelieving spies lied about the land and the people. Using very disempowering language, they succeeded in demoralizing the people of Israel from continuing on the journey to Canaan.

Beloved, do not shortchange yourself and God’s plans and purpose for your life by speaking disempowering words over your life.

Build Bridges - The Power of Relationships 3

Written by Uyoyou Christiana Charles-Iyoha

It takes time to build a relationship but most often, people do not invest in maintaining a relationship. However, relationships like engines are meant to be oiled and serviced. Conflicts also arise in the process of maintaining a relationship.

Problems arise in relationships when needs are not being met and by the way, needs vary. There are spiritual needs, physical needs, emotional needs for affirmation, financial needs, material needs and a number of other needs. Even in Church, people come to Church to have their needs met and when their needs are not met, they bicker. Problems then are a wakeup call to the fact that needs are not being met in a relationship.

Ways to Maintain Relationships

Effective Communication – communicate your needs at all times. Do not take it for granted that the other person can read your thoughts. State your needs point blank so that your partner, friends or family members understand what your needs are. However, you also need to know and understand whether the persons concerned have the capacity to meet your needs. If they do not, then do not put pressure on them to give what they lack the capacity to provide. You may be shocked that some people lack the capacity to provide even spiritual and emotional support which ironically they drain from other people. They take it for granted that other people will always be there for them. They may not be selfish or wicked. They just lack the capacity to do so. Do not begrudge them.

As much as possible, avoid judgmental statements as they inflict pain. You can prayerfully and lovingly communicate the situation without inflicting pain. It is great to speak plain language so that you can easily clarify issues. It is not a village meeting especially in some parts of Africa where the elders speak in hard to understand proverbs which may further becloud the issue.

Avoid the blame game – honing on and magnifying other people’s mistakes to humiliate them. There are people who are endless faultfinders and who blame everything on other people. They never admit their mistakes. Learn to take responsibility first. Nobody in a relationship wants to be told that they are not good. Rather, take responsibility and resolve issues. Stop blaming other people and situations. While constructive criticisms are welcome in a relationship especially the ones which bring out the positive in peoples’ lives, it is instructive to not argue to win. Be tolerant enough to listen to the other person.

Make it a habit to always add value to the relationships in your life.

Build Bridges - The Power of Relationships 2

Written by Uyoyou Christiana Charles-Iyoha

No human being is a self-sustaining island. Relationships are pivotal to success but significantly, relationships differ and are at different levels. There are relationships with fellow human beings at different levels.

There is also the most important and significant of relationships which is your relationship with God. Spiritual relationships are more important than biological ones – Luke Chapter 17 verse 21, 23 verse 21. Relationship with God is critical. In this relationship, humans generally take it for granted that God supplies every need of theirs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. This is true. God has been and is still in the business of meeting the needs of humanity especially His own. However, God also has needs which He expects humans to also meet. One of such needs is to accord Him the respect He deserves from you as well as give Him quality worship.

Beloved, God is great and mighty in power and deeds. He created the entire universe and owns everything in the Universe and everything including you and I are subject to Him. Therefore, reverence and worship should flow spontaneously from our hearts to Him in quality praise and adoration. This gladdens the heart of God. Sometimes, challenges and what you consider competing priorities but which are not really priorities may becloud your mental processes and you forget or decide not to worship. Please repent and return to the place of deep reverential fear for God and worship the King of kings and Lord of lords to whom all honor, glory and power belongs.

Glow from Within

Confidence Boosters/Beauty Secrets

The secret of a wonderful woman’s beauty, youthfulness is that she is always happy and because she is always happy, she radiates inner peace, joy and happiness which translates into youthfulness and beauty. I noticed this in the life of a woman I have known for more than thirty years.

I also noticed that she always glows from within, again, a function of the peace of God which she always chooses to radiate; irrespective of what the circumstances are. Surprisingly, I know quite a lot about her; her philandering husband who does not even bother to hide his indiscretion; the fact that she has only one biological child in a country where having dozens of children is a criteria for a community award and a goat slaughtering party for the woman concerned. Yet, this woman is always full of wide brimmed smiles and compassion for other people. She is always happy because she chose to focus on God and not the circumstances. Despite her age, there are no furrows or wrinkles.

Beloved, you can also glow from within if you always radiate the peace, joy and happiness of God for that is what translates into youthfulness and beauty.

Sarah, the wife of the biblical patriarch Abraham and mother of Isaac was described as beautiful because she had a clam and quiet spirit. The gentle and quite spirit was a result of her trust in God and the Apostle Peter refers to this beauty as incorruptible beauty. It cannot be tainted by anything. Please read 1st Peter Chapter 2 verses 1 to 6, Genesis Chapter 12 verses 11 to 15.

Do Not Fear

Written by Uyoyou Christiana Charles-Iyoha

For years, a particular person always spoke to intimidate me and terrify me into inaction, wallowing in fear and always terrified; afraid to succeed in life. I was always emotional and traumatic; having no self-esteem and self-worth. But one day in the afternoon, God exposed the person and the intent of the talk – get me afraid, worried, tensed up and believing that I will never succeed. But all these evil strongholds were destroyed as God made me understand that no one speaks and it comes to pass when He did not command it.

First, the Holy Spirit took me to the one verse of Scripture I read that morning – Philippians Chapter 4 verse 8. As I reflected on meditating on the truth, I realized that all the evil pronouncements against me and my loved ones as well as using evil words to try to chart the courses of our lives were a lie from the pit of hell which would never see the light of day because they are not the truth of the word of God.

Secondly, the Holy Spirit reminded me of what Goliath said to the army of Israel as the devil used him to torture the army of Israel mentally and by extension spiritually and physically for forty days and forty nights. The army suffered for this length of time because they believed the lies and evil report of Goliath against them, lies designed to incapacitate and immobilize them to a spot, neither moving forward nor backward.

But one day, Goliath and his lies collapsed like a pack of cards before David, a mere teenager who had never served in the army and who had never been to war. Why? Because David knew the truth of the word of God and refused to accept the lies of Goliath. Rather, David challenged Goliath and his lies with the truth of the word of God and in no time, that same day; Goliath vacated the face of the earth so that the people of God could enjoy peace and progress in their land. Please read 1st Samuel Chapter 17 for full details.

Thirdly, the Holy Spirit reminded me of what the older brothers of Joseph said about how Joseph’s dreams would come to pass. Though they attempted to kill Joseph which would have made their words come to pass, God foiled their plans and Joseph’s life was spared. Eventually, Joseph was sold to the Midianite traders who also sold Joseph to Potiphar in Egypt. Unknown to Joseph’s ten older brothers, they were instrumental to moving Joseph to God’s height, plans and purposes for Joseph’s life.

Take Advantage of Divine Timing

Written by Uyoyou Christiana Charles-Iyoha

Divine timing is acting, speaking, singing, teaching, dancing, praying, rebuking, and celebrating when God wants you to and not when you want to. Acting when God wants you to translates to working with God to accomplish His divine purposes according to His divine timing for your life.

When you do not respond to and act within the timing of God, you may work against the timing of God as well as His plans and purposes for your life. God’s timing is always perfect and purposeful. Therefore, make the most of every opportunity given to you in life by taking advantage of and walking in divine timing.

The beauty of divine timing is that God’s times always prevail. When it is God’s time, nothing stops the manifestation. That is why sensitivity to divine timing and arrangements is very important. There are signs that usually accompany prophecies and their manifestations. The Holy Spirit speaks when He wants to speak and not necessarily when you want Him to speak. Therefore, be sensitive to the signs and timing of God. That way, you do not miss out on God’s timing, favor and blessings to you. When it is God’s time nothing can stop you. Even age cannot stop you. Medical condition cannot stop God’s timing. This is because what is impossible with man is usually possible with God. The Immaculate Conception and birth as well as Sarah’s motherhood in old age are some examples of what God does in His time. Elizabeth, the mother of John the Baptist was also past the age of child bearing. But when it was God’s time for her to become a mother, she conceived naturally and gave birth without any form of assistance.

Trade Value for Greater Value

Written by Uyoyou Christiana Charles-Iyoha

Do not throw away value and run after glitters which have no value. This is because glitters glitter to fade; which explains why they have no real value. You may think that what you have and own has no value because it does not glitter. But what you have has both earthly and eternal value even if it appears not to glitter. The value is not in the glitter but in the import and impact which is what you should really treasure. Fake diamonds glitter and throw up a host of rainbow colors, a sure way to tell that they are fake diamonds. But the real stone just throws a grayish glow but its value is greater than all the glitters of the fake diamonds which are usually cheap and easy to access.

Joseph was sold into slavery by his siblings; supposedly to truncate his chances of becoming head over his siblings. But unknown to them, they were pushing Joseph as close as possible to the platforms and opportunities that would make him head over them. They had erroneously thought that Joseph’s opportunities and platforms for becoming a global leader of his day were in Canaan. But unknown to them, they were in Egypt and the only way for Joseph to get to Egypt was their supposedly wicked scheme of getting rid of him from their father’s wealth and Canaan. But God Who always has the final say had already prepared a place for Joseph in Egypt through the intelligent deployment of Joseph’s divine gift of interpreting dreams. Joseph rose to national and global prominence through the intelligent deployment of this gift. Beloved, you may not need huge resources to make wealth and succeed. All you may require is a divine idea and you are made.

The widow of the indebted prophet received a great idea of borrowing empty vessels to fill up with what she described as a little jar of oil. Those many vessels which were borrowed from her neighbors and filled up with the oil which never seemed to cease flowing until there were no more vessels to fill up was what saved the family from debt bondage and provided more than enough for them to leave on for the rest of their lives. Unknown to the widow and her two sons, that oil was of great value and brought in greater value which broke the yoke of financial indebtedness in their family.

Move Up Higher 2

Written by Uyoyou Christiana Charles-Iyoha

You carry sunshine – in the love, enthusiasm, optimism, joy of the Holy Spirit, comfort, encouragement as well as the unshakeable faith in God to always come through for His own which you share. Do not allow anyone or circumstances to cloud your vision and dampen your enthusiasm and love for the people of God.

Sunshine brings joy, warmth and happiness to lives and people. Continue to radiate that sunshine. Continue to share the love, enthusiasm, optimism, joy of the Holy Spirit, comfort, encouragement, faith in God. Continue to strengthen the people of God by the Holy Spirit and the Word of God. Continue to carry your sunshine and let go of rain clouds and thunderstorms and lightning strikes. You do not need the rain clouds and thunderstorms. You need your sunshine.

Significantly, you are the only one who can make other people place a high value on you. You are also the only one who can make people look down on you. Therefore, surround yourself with people who have a revelation of you; that is people who know and understand the divine deposits of God in you; who appreciate those deposits and value them. They are the ones who will truly appreciate you and remunerate you accordingly. Pharaoh and his court had a revelation of who Joseph was. They wasted no time in making him the Prime Minister of the land despite the fact that Joseph was a foreigner who was hastily brought out of prison to stand before Pharaoh that morning. Nebuchadnezzar had the right revelation of Daniel and his three friends. He rewarded them accordingly. Significantly, your intrinsic value in Christ Jesus should define your self-worth, value judgments and relationships.

Move Up Higher

Written by Uyoyou Christiana Charles-Iyoha

When God called Abraham, God blessed Abraham alongside his wife Sarah and blessed him and increased him. He became the father of many nations and increased on all sides, spiritually, physically, mentally, materially and financially. Please read Genesis Chapters 12 verses 1 to 9, 13 verses 1 to 4, 24 verses 34 to 35, 12 verses 10 to 16 and 20 verses 1 to 8.

Divine enlargement is progressive – Proverbs Chapter 4 verse 18, Genesis Chapter 26 verses 12 to 14; righteous life, patience, diligence (smart and hard work), Genesis Chapter 29 verses 15 to end, 30 verses 1 to 31, 32, 33. See also Psalm 115 verses 12 to 14, 80 verses 9 to 11. Increase, progressive increase is of God. The will of God is for you to grow from one level of grace, wisdom, knowledge, understanding, parenting, marital relations, and financial, spiritual, physical, mental and material increase to another. That is why the word of God says that the glory of the latter house shall be greater than the former. Please read Haggai Chapter 2 verse 9; and that the path of the righteous is like the shining sun, that shines ever brighter unto the perfect day (Proverbs Chapter 4 verse 18).

Beloved, you have not seen your best days yet. The glory of the latter house shall be greater than the former. Please see Haggai Chapter 2 verse 9. Therefore, do not relax on your oars. Get moving towards the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Please see Philippians Chapter 3 verses 12 to 14. Move up higher, beyond what you think is the core of success but which is actually just the beginning of success, in point of fact, baby steps to success.

This is just the beginning. You have not seen your best days yet, your great victories yet. There is so much more to come. Real success is ahead, waiting patiently for you. But you must be willing to move beyond the present successes you are dancing around so that you can get to the pinnacle of success. No seasoned fisherman who fishes for sharks goes fishing in a lake just as no seeker of diamonds looks for them in a cassava farm. Stop looking for diamonds where you are presently. Seek diamonds where they can be found. Therefore, take the required leap of faith which you urgently require to move higher into the plans and purposes of God for your life.

Paint the Future

 Written by Uyoyou Christiana Charles-Iyoha

The future is not an unnamed date; set far away from you by billions and zillions of seconds and minutes. It is not in hundreds, thousands and millions of days which appear far away from you; probably hiding in the stratosphere. Beloved, the future is TODAY, in point of fact, NOW.

The future is therefore what you draw or paint into the beautiful canvass which is either sitting or standing in front of your right now. The future is NOW; THE THOUGHTS AND ACTIONS AS WELL AS RELATIONSHIPS WHICH YOU PLANT INTO IT NOW; and not tomorrow or a later date which you assume or hope will not show up soon.

The future is NOW; asking you to take a quality decision, act positively in the light of the truth of the word of God which you know. Please read Jeremiah Chapter 29 verse 11. The future is NOW; asking you to seek knowledge to break down and destroy the mountains of ignorance holding you down.

The future is NOW; asking you to forget an unproductive past which is weighing you down spiritually, mentally and to an extent physically so that you can focus on the great and new things which God wants to do in your life. Please read Isaiah Chapter 43 verse 19.

The future is NOW; asking you to kill procrastination, and laziness as well as giving of excuses so that you can be productive; to fruit and multiply into abundance.

Allow God to Fight for You

Written by Uyoyou Christiana Charles-Iyoha

God fights because He is Jehovah the Man of war, the Lord strong and mighty, the Lord, mighty in battle.  God fights in diverse ways through elements of creation, with the sword of His mouth – Revelation Chapters 2 verse 16, 1 verse 10, 2 verse 12, 11 verses 3 to 6, Significantly, God has numerous weapons at His disposal. He therefore deploys whichever best suits His purpose. After all, He is the Creator and Owner of everything created. Please read Genesis Chapter 1. Before anything existed, the Word had already existed alongside God because the Word is God; the Creator of everything that exist and will ever exist.

Importantly, God has a beautiful and unparalleled history of always fighting victoriously for His own. He fought for Abraham over seemingly powerful kings of his day who took Sarah away from him. Please Genesis Chapters 12 from verses 10 to 20 and 20. Please read Exodus Chapters 15 verse 3: 14 verses 13 to 14, 23 to 41, for in depth details of how God overthrew Pharaoh, his army and chariots in the red sea;  Psalm 24 verse 8, Joshua Chapters 10 verses 1 to 43, 11 verse 20 of how God fought for the Israelites against the nations who attempted to stop their progress to Canaan; 1st Samuel Chapters 5 verses 1 to 12, 6 of how God afflicted the people of Ashdod, Gath and Ekron with tumors for receiving and hosting the Ark of God. Some of the people even died. It was only after they returned the Ark with trespass offerings that they were free. Even the men of Beth Shemesh, fifty thousand and seven of them were struck down because they dared to look into the Ark of the Lord, an act of great irreverence as they had no business whatsoever looking into the Ark of God.

The Bible records that God thundered against the Philistine army from heaven, confused them because they rose against Israel while Samuel was offering burnt offerings for Israel. The Philistines were consequently overcome by the Israelites and were subdued to the point where they had to restore occupied cities to Israel. They also stayed away from Israel. Please read 1st Samuel Chapter 7 verses 6 to 14. God also empowered David, an unschooled warrior to kill an experienced giant warrior like Goliath. Please read 1st Samuel Chapter 17 for details.

Get Up

Written by Uyoyou Christiana Charles-Iyoha

The word of God energizes a person to act in tandem with the will of God to achieve desired results to bring about transformation, healing, positive economic results, and abundance as in some of these biblical examples.

Peter’s fishing exploits in Luke Chapter 5 verses 1 to 11, John Chapter 21 verses 1 to 13.

The lame man at the pool in Bethsaida who was physically and to some extent spiritually and mentally incapacitated and immobilized to a spot for thirty eight years – in essence, the man stagnated to retrogression and for thirty eight years, he did nothing but lay on his sick bed and watched other people (this is real pathetic) receive healings and miracles as well as leave Bethsaida for good, to live a life, away from the great multitude of sick and incapacitated people at the pool in Bethsaida.

Those who were likely to leave healed and restored were those who had people to put them in the pool when the water was stirred by an angel. The lame man however had no one to put him in the pool and his physical condition was also a limitation. So daily, he watched others succeed while he stayed helpless, incapacitated and immobilized to a spot.

Beloved, pause and ponder a while what the mental processes and even spiritual condition of the lame man at the pool was. But all that hopelessness and watching the world go by came to an end when Jesus, the Word of God; Who always fights with the sword of the Spirit (Revelation Chapter 19 verses 13 to 16) intervened and released the prophetic word – Get Up!, pick up your mat and walk. Suddenly, the hopelessness, the incapacitation and immobilization of thirty eight years was gone. It disappeared at the instance of the Word of God and the man who had possibly been written off to a life of watch others succeed and had come to despair at his own inability to succeed was completely healed, restored and transformed to live a life of unending success victory, hope and freedom in Christ.
