Trade Value for Greater Value

Written by Uyoyou Christiana Charles-Iyoha

Do not throw away value and run after glitters which have no value. This is because glitters glitter to fade; which explains why they have no real value. You may think that what you have and own has no value because it does not glitter. But what you have has both earthly and eternal value even if it appears not to glitter. The value is not in the glitter but in the import and impact which is what you should really treasure. Fake diamonds glitter and throw up a host of rainbow colors, a sure way to tell that they are fake diamonds. But the real stone just throws a grayish glow but its value is greater than all the glitters of the fake diamonds which are usually cheap and easy to access.

Joseph was sold into slavery by his siblings; supposedly to truncate his chances of becoming head over his siblings. But unknown to them, they were pushing Joseph as close as possible to the platforms and opportunities that would make him head over them. They had erroneously thought that Joseph’s opportunities and platforms for becoming a global leader of his day were in Canaan. But unknown to them, they were in Egypt and the only way for Joseph to get to Egypt was their supposedly wicked scheme of getting rid of him from their father’s wealth and Canaan. But God Who always has the final say had already prepared a place for Joseph in Egypt through the intelligent deployment of Joseph’s divine gift of interpreting dreams. Joseph rose to national and global prominence through the intelligent deployment of this gift. Beloved, you may not need huge resources to make wealth and succeed. All you may require is a divine idea and you are made.

The widow of the indebted prophet received a great idea of borrowing empty vessels to fill up with what she described as a little jar of oil. Those many vessels which were borrowed from her neighbors and filled up with the oil which never seemed to cease flowing until there were no more vessels to fill up was what saved the family from debt bondage and provided more than enough for them to leave on for the rest of their lives. Unknown to the widow and her two sons, that oil was of great value and brought in greater value which broke the yoke of financial indebtedness in their family.

Guard Your Divine Gifts Jealously

Written by Uyoyou Christiana Charles-Iyoha

Your divine gifts are unique to you and are specifically and uniquely given to you by God to excel and be a blessing to God, yourself, your family, your community, nation and the world. Therefore, treasure your divine gifts – respect them and use them for the divine purposes God designed them for. They are not to be thrown to anyone or even used to further the works of other people that God did not commission you to work on. Invest your divine gifts and time on eternal and divine projects which God is interested in and would bless humanity.

Your divine gifts are divine assets. Joseph could have transferred the gifts of interpreting dreams; solving problems, making challenges become stepping stones to just anyone and that anyone would have taken over Joseph’s position in life and Egypt. But Joseph was smart. He kept the divine gifts and the use of the gifts to himself so that he was the only one who was always required; in great demand for the use of the gift and the handsome remuneration and rewards that came from deploying the gift were his and his alone.

Beloved, be wise in the management of your gifts. It is not only your pearls and other precious jewelry that should be guarded; not thrown to dogs or given to just anybody. Do not give your God given brand to anyone; no one deserves it. Your brand is your brand and belongs to you alone. It is not for sharing with anyone. Enhance your brand and be conscious of anyone and anything which attempts to downgrade your brand. Run away from anything which attempts to downgrade your brand. You do not need it irrespective of whatever the appearance it takes. It will only bring you down, diminish your value, rating and status. As much as possible, avoid anyone or anything which will downgrade your brand. For crying out loud, GUCCI is GUCCI and CARTIER is CARTIER just as HARVEY WINSTON is HARVEY WINSTON.

Always be Expectant 2

Written by Uyoyou Christiana Charles-Iyoha

The Bible records in Isaiah Chapter 54 verse 17 that no weapon formed against you shall prosper. Beloved, this implies that God will always ensure that no weapon fashioned against you and members of your family shall prosper.

God will satisfy you with long life recorded in Psalm 91 implies that God will give you long life, He will take sickness and everything that threatens your life away from you so that you can live long in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. God will also ensure that your children and children’s children and descendants serve Him all the days of their lives so that they will spend eternity with Him in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Please read Isaiah Chapter 59 verse 21.

Samson cried to God when he was thirsty because he desired life – Judges Chapter 15 verses 18 to 19 but when he despaired of life after the humiliation he suffered at the hands of the Philistines, he despaired of life and asked to die and God granted his wish. Judges Chapter 16 verses 28 to 31.

Hezekiah desired life and requested for life and God granted him life. Please read Isaiah Chapter 38.

Paul’s expectations for a truly satisfying healthy long life so he could be alive and well to fulfill divine purpose was not cut short. Severally he was beaten and even taken up for dead but God kept him. Stephen on the other hand consented to death and committed his spirit to God. Please read Acts Chapter 7.

You Can Turn Disadvantages into Advantages 2

Written by Uyoyou Christiana Charles-Iyoha

The people of Joseph said to Joshua, “Why have you given us only one allotment and one portion for an inheritance? We are a numerous people, and the Lord has blessed us abundantly.”“If you are so numerous,” Joshua answered, “and if the hill country of Ephraim is too small for you, go up into the forest and clear land for yourselves there in the land of the Perizzites and Rephaites.”  The people of Joseph replied, “The hill country is not enough for us, and all the Canaanites who live in the plain have chariots fitted with iron, both those in Beth Shan and its settlements and those in the Valley of Jezreel.”  But Joshua said to the tribes of Joseph—to Ephraim and Manasseh—“You are numerous and very powerful. You will have not only one allotment  but the forested hill country as well. Clear it, and its farthest limits will be yours; though the Canaanites have chariots fitted with iron and though they are strong, you can drive them out.” Joshua Chapter 17 verses 14 to 18.
The Israelites thought their lives would end any moment as Pharaoh and his chariots followed them in hot pursuit. Unknown to them, that would be the end of Pharaoh’s oppression of the Israelites in any form as Pharaoh and his chariots were drowned in the red sea. Please read Exodus Chapter 14 verses 13 to 16, 21 to 22.

The miraculous crossing of the Jordan illustrates the truth of God’ word; that with God, nothing is impossible. This also implies that you can easily cross any Jordan which stares you in the face if you choose to walk with God. Please read Joshua Chapter 3 verses 15 to 17.

With God on your side, you can also command the elements of creation to work in your favor when you are at a disadvantage. Joshua commanded the sun to stand still so he could finish a battle he was fighting and the sun actually stood still until Joshua and his soldiers were done fighting. Please read Joshua Chapter 10 verses 12 to 14.

You can also turn the disadvantage of small spaces into large spaces by taking on territories besides you. Simply, put, enlarge the place of your tent as Manasseh and Ephraim did in Joshua Chapter 17 verses 16 to 18.

Enlargement can also come through conscious and deliberate acts of fruitfulness targeted at multiplication in spite of negative prevailing circumstances. Despite being slaves in Egypt coupled with the harsh treatment the Israelites suffered from the Egyptians, the Bible records that they increased greatly because they were fruitful and they multiplied. Please read Exodus Chapter 1 verse 7.

You Can Turn Disadvantages into Advantages

Written by Uyoyou Christiana Charles-Iyoha

The woman with the issue of blood turned the long term disadvantage of the unceasing blood flow of twelve years into an advantage when she decided to touch the hem of Jesus’ garment. Despite the shame and ridicule, she worked her way through the crowd and touched the hem of Jesus’ garment. Twelve years of pain, shame and financial drain disappeared in an instant. Significantly, she was not ashamed to publicly admit that she was the one who touched the hem of Jesus’ garment. The admission made her healing permanent. Please read Matthew Chapter 9 verses 20 to 22, Mark Chapter 4 verses 27 to 29, 30 to 34.

The widow of the indebted prophet is another case in point. She cried out when the creditor threatened to come take her two sons for debt bondage. That was what saved the situation as the Prophet Elisha to whom she cried gave her counsel on how to get out of debts and financial lack for the rest of her life. She was instructed on how to access resources, shut out distractions so she could produce products to sell and earn money. Please read 2nd Kings Chapter 4 verses 1 to 7 for details.

Blind Bartimaeus literally took the bull by the horns when he kept shouting out the name of Jesus despite the hush hush from the people around him. As he kept shouting, Jesus turned to him and asked what he wanted. He requested for the restoration of his sight and was healed. Please read Mark Chapter 10 verses 46 to 52.

Zacchaeus was a very short man who desired to see Jesus. This would have been possible if the crowds who followed Jesus did not crowd him out of the view of short people like Zacchaeus. Rather than complain about his height disadvantage and how the tall people of his day were the only ones who had the advantage of seeing Jesus, Zacchaeus decided to think creatively. He would not be in the league of the people who complained about the tall oppressing the short with their height advantage. Zacchaeus chose to grow taller than the supposedly tall who obscured the short from seeing Jesus. Zacchaeus climbed a sycamore tree where he was heads above the tall. Significantly, Jesus noticed and gave Zacchaeus attention in addition to inviting Zacchaeus to entertain Him in Zacchaeus’ house where Zacchaeus could have the pride of vantage position to see Jesus clearly. Please read Luke Chapter 19 verses 1 to 10 for details.

Receive Strength

Written by Uyoyou Christiana Charles-Iyoha

There are different types of strengths – physical strength, spiritual strength, mental strength, economic strength and many others that you can come up with.

The Bible recorded instances of people receiving physical strength after taking food. Some cases include the case of Elijah who received strength after eating (`1st Kings Chapter 19 verses 1 to 21, the Apostle Paul in Acts Chapter 9 verse 9, the Egyptian servant of the one of the Amalekites who raided and burnt down Ziklag in 1st Samuel Chapter 30 verses 11 to 16. If the young man had not received strength from the food he ate, he would not have been physically strengthened to lead David and his men to the Amalekites. Significantly, the Bible cautions against feasting for the sake of feasting as feasting is designed to strengthen one physically. Please read Ecclesiastes Chapter 10 verses 17.

The Apostle Peter was instructed by Jesus Christ to strengthen his brethren after his temptation. Please read Luke Chapter 22 verses 31 to 34.

The Apostle Paul also spoke of being strengthened with all might. Please read Colossians Chapter 1 verses 10 to 11.

Significantly, divine strength comes from God to His own people. He strengthened the prophet Jeremiah. Please read Jeremiah Chapter 16 verse 19. The prophet Jeremiah also referred to God as His strength and fortress as well as his refuge in the day of affliction. A study of the life and ministry of Prophet Jeremiah throws up several challenges and afflictions experienced by the Prophet who is sometimes referred to as the weeping prophet. In some of these emotionally challenging, physically traumatizing and battering situations which almost had a negative impact on the spiritual life (albeit giving up on speaking on the word of God) of Jeremiah, Jeremiah learnt over time to draw strength from God and could therefore confidently refer to God as his strength and fortress and refuge.

Stretch Out 2

Written by Uyoyou Christiana Charles-Iyoha

An eagle which fraternizes with chickens all the time loses its ability to soar and will at best fly, an extremely difficult task for the eagle whose wings are designed to soar and not fly. Beloved, you have been standing very tall but unfortunately you did not know it and made the mistake of attempting to stoop. Quickly undo the mistake and keep standing very tall as you are not holding your ground, defending your territory but you are also actually sending out word that there is no room for competition because you have actually grown beyond competition.

You are already an institution, an intimidating force to be reckoned with, respected, valued, significant and relevant to humanity. It is therefore time to move on in life so that you can be more beneficial to humanity and be truly celebrated.

You have had the luxury of interacting with quality people and institutions and when you have the luxury of interacting with quality players in any endeavor of life, you develop as a player in that area of life. Not only do you work from an intelligence perspective, you also develop an uncanny instinct, the ability to smell opportunities and utilize the opportunities to great advantage. Doing this as often as possible can make you an expression of family, institutional, community, national and global pride. Significantly, this can be achieved through deliberate and measured diligent growth in about every area of life which is why you must make the effort to interact with quality players. Therefore, hone your gifts so that you can excel and stand before kings. While it is true that low gifts and great anointing produce results, the truth is that the results are not permanent. This is because there is usually no organization, no systems, and no institutionalization that will give permanent results. This is also true of great gifts and low anointing as they also produce results that are not permanent. But great gifts and great anointing equals great results and permanence. Significantly, both have to be developed.

Stretch Out

Written by Uyoyou Christiana Charles-Iyoha

The parable of talents is illustrative of what people who recognize the worth of their talents or divine gifts can do to multiply and compound their talents or divine gifts to bless humanity and themselves. The man who was given five talents multiplied the talents. So also did the man who got two talents. But the wicked servant who received one talent chose not to work his talent.  Rather, he buried the talent. He was therefore unproductive and not a blessing to himself, family, humanity or even His master. Beloved, a one talent person is already disadvantaged and therefore has no business burying the gift. Rather, s/he should hone the gift and move on to other gifts. Yet the most dangerous thing most one talent people do is to bury their gifts when in reality they should develop five talent efforts so that they can match up with the people who have five talents.

Five talent people and five talents efforts is God’s preference. This because five talent people always make five talent efforts to serve divine purpose and bless humanity. They are selfless people who live for the common good. David was a five talent person. Mary the mother of Jesus Christ was a five talent person. The prophetess Deborah was a five talent person. She accompanied Barak to war and God gave Israel victory. She did what she did for the common good. It was not about her. It was for Israel, the people of God. Nehemiah was a five talent person. That explains why he rose from the position of butler to governor of Jerusalem who blessed the people with his personal resources. The little boy who brought lunch to the crusade, five loaves of bread and two fishes was a five talent child. He blessed humanity with his lunch pack. Jesus is a five talent person and I dare to say that you are a five talent person.

The Biblical Joseph for instance was born a five talent person but unfortunately was living with a one talent family and probably attending a one talent school and taught by a one talent teacher; that is if there were schools then. But somehow, God intervened in the affairs of Joseph and organized him out of the one talent family and environment. Though Joseph also ended up in a one talent family in Egypt, Potiphar’s wife’s sinful advances to Joseph moved him out of a one talent house to prison, a two talent world until Joseph’s eventual move to a five talent world, the palace.

The Leverage of Favor 3

 Written by Uyoyou Christiana Charles-Iyoha

If you follow my decrees and are careful to obey my commands, I will send you rain in its season, and the ground will yield its crops and the trees of the field their fruit. Your threshing will continue until grape harvest and the grape harvest will continue until planting, and you will eat all the food you want and live in safety in your land. I will look on you with favor and make you fruitful and increase your numbers, and I will keep my covenant with you. You will still be eating last year’s harvest when you will have to move it out to make room for the new. Leviticus Chapter 26 verses 3 to 5, 9 to 10, NIV, Women's Devotional Bible.

Mary the mother of Jesus Christ was highly favored. That is to say she had tons of favor from God. Please see Luke Chapter 1 verses 26 to 37. The Bible records that Mary found favor with God and received grace to become the mother of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Mary was an unknown young woman from the linage of Aaron (Luke Chapter 1 verses, 5, 36) who was betrothed to Joseph, a descendant of David. But Mary achieved global fame, honor and eternal security in Christ Jesus because she was highly favored by God. Please read Luke Chapter 1 verses 26 to 30 to birth the Lord Jesus Christ. The favor of God upon Mary elevated Mary above her peers.

Beloved, you can be suddenly elevated above your peers by the favor of God upon your life if only you will allow God take charge of your life. Mary was a chaste young woman; she was engaged to be married but was suddenly found to be with child – pregnant outside of wedlock. Joseph considered putting her away but rescinded his decision after God spoke with him through His angel. Please read Matthew Chapter 1 verses 18 to 25. Beloved, the circumstances were not pleasant for Mary, a young unmarried woman pregnant; not even by her fiancé. But God intervened and Joseph did the right thing.

The Leverage of Favor 2

Written by Uyoyou Christiana Charles-Iyoha

My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments: For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee.  Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart: So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man. Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil. It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones. Proverbs Chapter 3 verses 1 to 8.

Favor has leverage when it is from God. Otherwise, it is the whims and caprices of human beings which is not sustainable. But the favor which comes from God has leverage because God uses it to accomplish divine purposes through the favored one. S/he has unlimited, unrestricted access to whatever resources are required to accomplish divine purpose; is sheltered, safe and secure in God and by God from all the flying darts of the enemy.

Divine favor is aromatic, has pleasant smells which explain why anyone with divine favor is always warmly and lovingly received by people, families, institutions, nations and governments. Divine favor also guarantees access to God, the blessings of God as well as to people and whatever resources are required to achieve divine purpose. Please read Deuteronomy Chapter 33 verses 13 to 29 and Isaiah Chapter 60 verses 10 to 11.

God in His infinite mercy encompassed Joseph with uncommon favor such that even while in prison in a foreign land, the divine favor of God encompassed Joseph. The keeper of the prison left everything to Joseph’s care just as his erstwhile master Potiphar left everything in his care when he served under Potiphar before he was falsely accused by Potiphar’s wife and unjustly put in prison. But despite being in prison in a land where Joseph had no one to speak up for him in his favor, the Bible records that God was with him and gave him favor before the keeper of the prison. Beloved, the Presence of God in the life of a person is also a contributory factor to being encircled by divine favor. Please read Psalm 5 verse 12.

The Leverage of Divine Favor 1

Written by Uyoyou Christiana Charles-Iyoha

Blessed [is] the man that heareth me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors. For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favour of the LORD. Proverbs Chapter 8 verses 34 to 35.

The Israelites did as Moses instructed and asked the Egyptians for articles of silver and gold and for clothing. The LORD had made the Egyptians favorably disposed toward the people, and they gave them what they asked for; so they plundered the Egyptians. Exodus Chapter 12 verses 35 and 36, NIV, Women’s Devotional Bible.

Divine favor, a gift from God to His children is to be greatly desired especially by anyone aspiring to get out of the dust and ash heap positions of life. Esther was an orphan who lived with her cousin, Mordecai, a gateman at the palace in Shushan. Secondly, they were captives in the land. Their circumstances were therefore not very pleasant; an orphan with no inheritance from her parents, who lived with a cousin whose economic resources and standing were not substantial, and who probably had no social standing and privileges in the land. They were captives in the land yet they rose to very privileged positions in the land, had great social and economic standing not necessarily on account of anything spectacular about them but because of the workings of God’s divine favor in their lives.

The favor of God brings about acceptance. Esther was accepted by everyone. Please read Esther Chapters 2 verses 9, 15 to 18; 5 verses 2 to 8; 7 verses 1 to 10; 9 verses 3 to 11. The favor of God brings about promotion. Please read Psalm 75 verse 6; 89 verse 17, Genesis Chapters 39 and 41, Esther Chapter 2 verses 16 to 18. Divine favor gave Esther the throne in Persia.

Esther was neither the most beautiful maiden or virgin in the land, yet she emerged queen because God favored her and gave her favor before anyone she came in contact with. Esther Chapters 2 verses 9, 15, 17 and 5 verses 2 to 8. She became queen in a foreign land, chosen above the other maidens who participated in the search for a new queen contest. Beyond becoming queen, the favor of God in the life of Esther guaranteed unfettered access to and favor before the King so that eventually, Haman’s evil decree to annihilate the Jews  was countered by another decree which empowered the Jews to fight and defend themselves against anyone who rose against them. Divine favor helped to accomplish divine purpose. Additionally, divine favor also gave Mordecai the number two position in the land. Please read Esther Chapters 8 verses 1 to 2, 15 and 10 verses 1 to 3.

The Power of Divine Leverages

Written by Uyoyou Christiana Charles-Iyoha

Is it possible to move from the dust and ash heap positions of life to positions of influence, in point of fact, great influence, power, wealth and fame through divine leverages? Absolutely!

Divine leverages are leverages bestowed on a person by God for the purpose of achieving divine purposes. The Bible records in Acts Chapter 7 verses 9 to 10 that God was with Joseph, delivered him from all his troubles and gave him favor and wisdom in the presence of Pharaoh, the King of Egypt. Pharaoh made Joseph governor over Egypt and all his house, that is to say that Joseph was next to Pharaoh in the political organogram and power sharing structure of Egypt. Please read also Genesis Chapter 41 for further details.

Joseph was not a citizen of Egypt, had no claims to earthly royalty, was not even a palace guard or cleaner yet he showed up at the palace once, in point of fact, just once and he became a great power broker in Egypt because divine leverages were working for him.

Get Rid of Mental Clutter 2

 Written by Uyoyou Christiana Charles-Iyoha

Pay rapt attention to what God is saying and doing in your life now to increase you and elevate you above your peers and enemies into the rightful position and privileges He ordained for you from the foundation of the world. Therefore, ignore what the devil and his cohorts are doing and focus on what God is doing. Refuse to be emotionally bound or attached to the evil they are speaking by the demons ruling them. People filled with the Holy Spirit of God do not say words which dampen the spirits of other people to make them sad or unhappy or even develop zero to low self esteem. It is the devil who does that and he does it through people who are willing to be his agents of verbal abuse and destruction. Beloved, you are not one of the victims of such people because you are spiritually and mentally empowered by the Word of God and the Spirit of God. Therefore, focus on God and give Him thanks and quality praise for what He is doing in your life. Also, focus on the blessings of God in your life rather than what you think or know the enemy is doing. The enemy will always attempt to clog your mental processes with his lies which God does not allow to see the light of day because God loves you and cares for you. Please read Numbers Chapter 23 verses 19 to 23, Isaiah Chapter 8 verses 9 to 10.

There are people who do not see any good in other people as well as everything around them. They complain about the sun, the moon, the grass, the animals, the water bodies, the government, the media, religious institutions and religious peoples and leaders. Refuse to entertain such people who always have a litany of woes irrespective of who they are. The more attention you pay to a litany of woes, especially from people infested with litanies of woes each time they open their mouths, the more cluttered and clogged your mental processes will be. This is because you will be mentally processing their litanies of woes rather than the faithful promises of God to you in the Bible. I therefore strongly advise that if people do not hang around you to share life transforming information with you, what the Bible refers to as iron sharpening iron, then reconsider spending quality time with them. Life transforming information will move you up the ladder of success while gossip, bad mouthing of other people behind their backs and general complaints will only help to clog your mental processes. Stay away from such discussions and people. You do not need them.

Get Rid of Mental Clutter

Written by Uyoyou Christiana Charles-Iyoha

Mental clutter is anything with which you crowd your mental processes in such a way that your mind becomes a maze in which you always wander in circles to get anything you need. This can be a real burden on your mental processes as the strain of filtering out what you do not need affects you negatively. Additionally, mental clutter is mental garbage, a great tool with which the enemy cages the understanding of people in order to foster ignorance so that they do not ever receive the required wisdom and understanding to deal with challenges. They are therefore mentally caged and stuck, with their mental situation impacting negatively on their spiritual, physical and financial situations. Even when there is knowledge, your understanding is limited and even when it appears that you are gaining understanding, the enemy tries to clutter your mental processes with irrelevancies just so that you do not gain understanding to do what you have to do to achieve divine purpose and freedom. The earlier you get rid of mental clutter and further restrain yourself from accumulating mental clutter, the better for you as you will have a more positive outlook to life.

One way of getting rid of mental clutter is to always allow the Holy Spirit free rein in your mental processes. This is because the Holy Spirit knows best what you need and what your mental processes can positively accommodate. Therefore, do not crowd God out of your thoughts by ignoring the Holy Spirit and focusing on what your flesh desires to do with your mental processes. When you crowd God out of your thoughts, you keep the Holy Spirit out of your mental processes thereby giving your imagination free rein to veer off in all directions without the necessary guidance of the Holy Spirit. As your imagination goes gaga, it gathers every possible debris that may not be useful to you for processing and storage and without the Holy Spirit to filter off the debris you do not need, your mental processes become cluttered. The more clutter you have, the more difficult it is to access pertinent and positive information which you require to be successful. For instance, when you allow your imagination free rein, you are likely to dig up the filth of past hurts which you may not want to give up; and as you constantly reflect on such filth, you are likely to keep contemplating vengeance, stewing in refusal to forgive as well as its attendant bitter streams which do not bring clean water. As you clog your mental processes with such filth, creativity and the power of positive thinking becomes a distant ray of light in a dark starless sky.

No More Indefinite Waits 2

Written by Uyoyou Christiana Charles-Iyoha

Procrastination on account of ignorance, lack of clarity, vagueness, confusion, fuzzy mindedness can a keep a person grounded in a spot for eons; no forward movement, stagnating into retrogression. The man at the pool alongside a number of other people came to the pool to be healed. But rather than get healed, they stayed in the same condition in which they came to the pool; not for a few weeks, months, a year or two but a number of years; probably in pain, in tears, in anguish, daily hoping for the elusive cure as someone always stronger somehow always got into the water before them.

In the case of the man who was healed by Jesus Christ, he had been in that state of physical, spiritual and mental paralysis for thirty eight long years and had come to the conclusion that there was no exit door out of his problem. So even when Jesus Christ asked if he wanted to be made well, the lame man gave a string of excuses for not getting well. The situation had overwhelmed him and blurred his initial vision and goal of getting healed; the reason for which he went to Bethsaida in the first place. But after thirty eight years, he gave up on the vision of getting healed and was content to simply remain at Bethsaida; lamenting his woes, throwing pity parties through the string of excuses he gave. Getting healed was no longer his goal as pity from whoever was what he wanted.

Fortunately, Jesus Christ had greater interest in him than a pity party. Jesus had great plans for the man, to take him back to his original vision and goal of getting healed in addition to restoring him to the original purpose for which he was created; a fully enriching and fulfilling life in Christ Jesus. The man’s conclusions that his case was completely hopeless and would only require pity from people were illogical before Jesus Who immediately rewrote the man’s history from hopelessness to a bright future as the man suddenly received his healing in His spirit, soul and body by the spoken word of Jesus Christ.  His whole being was energized, revitalized to a new life of joy, happiness in Christ Jesus. For one, he was physically capacitated to earn an income; he was spiritually and mentally rejuvenated and revitalized to take on the real world he had stayed away from for thirty eight years. The man who hitherto was full of lamentations boldly retorted that Jesus Christ Who made him well was the One Who authorized him to carry his bed, though it was the Sabbath. Prior to the encounter with Jesus, this man would not dare carry his bed on the Sabbath.

Beloved, the man was spiritually and mentally and physically prepared to take on the world because he had received a great touch from God through Jesus Christ. You can also take on the world if you will simply rise in faith above whatever dampened your enthusiasm, zest for life because Jesus paid the full price for you on the cross. Please read Isaiah Chapter 53 verses 1 to 5, Colossians Chapter 2 verses 13 to 15; whatever challenges your progress in any area of life.

No More Indefinite Waits

Written by Uyoyou Christiana Charles-Iyoha

Thou shalt arise, [and] have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come. Psalm 102 verse 13.

Do you want to be made well; get well? Please read John Chapter 5 verses 1 to 9, note verse 6 for details of what prompted Jesus Christ to ask this question.

Jesus Christ broke and destroyed the limitations of waiting indefinitely, usually over a period of time for the moving of the water; considering that only one person usually the first to step into the water got healed. So the other people described as a great multitude of lame, impotent, etc who could not step in immediately the water was stirred by an angel kept waiting; for yet another move by the angel. The wait was such that no one there knew exactly when they could get in which explains why the man who was healed by Jesus Christ spent thirty eight long years at the pool; waiting for the moving of the water, as well as anyone who could come to his aid and drop him in the water when the water was moved.

Fortunately for him, Jesus showed up and broke with tradition. The man did not have to wait for the moving of the water because the Creator of the water as well as the angel who stirred the water was there to make the man whole without the man stepping into the water. At His word, His spoken word and sent word which always accomplishes divine purpose, the man was healed and freed from the limitation of waiting endlessly.

Dearly beloved:

I appreciate your visits to this blog. Thank you for reading through the posts, supporting the adverts on the blog through clicks on the products and services which appealed to you. I am also grateful to all of you who purchased my books.

God bless you and reward you with the blessings of heaven above, the blessings of the deep that lies beneath, the blessings of the breasts and of the womb. May God in His infinite mercies and great love for you fill your lives with the hidden riches of secret places, the treasures of darkness and the treasures hidden in the sand. May God open your eyes of understanding to uncover these blessings in your lives so that all the days of your lives, you flourish in God’s overflowing abundance in Jesus mighty name.

I also pray that you enjoy great generational wealth in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

May God also satisfy you with long lives, so that you will see your children’s children as it is written in the Holy Bible in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. May God Who is always good and kind grant you divine health to enjoy these blessings in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

It is written in Isaiah Chapter 54 verse 17 that no weapon fashioned against you shall prosper. That is your portion in 2019 and beyond in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. May God to Whom all power belongs destroy every weapon of the enemy fashioned against you irrespective of what format it is shaped in; in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. May God overrule every tongue that rises against you in judgment in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

The Lord strengthen you, comfort you and expand you on all sides to the glory of His holy name in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

Thank You and God Bless You all. Shalom.
