Get Rid of Mental Clutter 2

 Written by Uyoyou Christiana Charles-Iyoha

Pay rapt attention to what God is saying and doing in your life now to increase you and elevate you above your peers and enemies into the rightful position and privileges He ordained for you from the foundation of the world. Therefore, ignore what the devil and his cohorts are doing and focus on what God is doing. Refuse to be emotionally bound or attached to the evil they are speaking by the demons ruling them. People filled with the Holy Spirit of God do not say words which dampen the spirits of other people to make them sad or unhappy or even develop zero to low self esteem. It is the devil who does that and he does it through people who are willing to be his agents of verbal abuse and destruction. Beloved, you are not one of the victims of such people because you are spiritually and mentally empowered by the Word of God and the Spirit of God. Therefore, focus on God and give Him thanks and quality praise for what He is doing in your life. Also, focus on the blessings of God in your life rather than what you think or know the enemy is doing. The enemy will always attempt to clog your mental processes with his lies which God does not allow to see the light of day because God loves you and cares for you. Please read Numbers Chapter 23 verses 19 to 23, Isaiah Chapter 8 verses 9 to 10.

There are people who do not see any good in other people as well as everything around them. They complain about the sun, the moon, the grass, the animals, the water bodies, the government, the media, religious institutions and religious peoples and leaders. Refuse to entertain such people who always have a litany of woes irrespective of who they are. The more attention you pay to a litany of woes, especially from people infested with litanies of woes each time they open their mouths, the more cluttered and clogged your mental processes will be. This is because you will be mentally processing their litanies of woes rather than the faithful promises of God to you in the Bible. I therefore strongly advise that if people do not hang around you to share life transforming information with you, what the Bible refers to as iron sharpening iron, then reconsider spending quality time with them. Life transforming information will move you up the ladder of success while gossip, bad mouthing of other people behind their backs and general complaints will only help to clog your mental processes. Stay away from such discussions and people. You do not need them.

Get Rid of Mental Clutter

Written by Uyoyou Christiana Charles-Iyoha

Mental clutter is anything with which you crowd your mental processes in such a way that your mind becomes a maze in which you always wander in circles to get anything you need. This can be a real burden on your mental processes as the strain of filtering out what you do not need affects you negatively. Additionally, mental clutter is mental garbage, a great tool with which the enemy cages the understanding of people in order to foster ignorance so that they do not ever receive the required wisdom and understanding to deal with challenges. They are therefore mentally caged and stuck, with their mental situation impacting negatively on their spiritual, physical and financial situations. Even when there is knowledge, your understanding is limited and even when it appears that you are gaining understanding, the enemy tries to clutter your mental processes with irrelevancies just so that you do not gain understanding to do what you have to do to achieve divine purpose and freedom. The earlier you get rid of mental clutter and further restrain yourself from accumulating mental clutter, the better for you as you will have a more positive outlook to life.

One way of getting rid of mental clutter is to always allow the Holy Spirit free rein in your mental processes. This is because the Holy Spirit knows best what you need and what your mental processes can positively accommodate. Therefore, do not crowd God out of your thoughts by ignoring the Holy Spirit and focusing on what your flesh desires to do with your mental processes. When you crowd God out of your thoughts, you keep the Holy Spirit out of your mental processes thereby giving your imagination free rein to veer off in all directions without the necessary guidance of the Holy Spirit. As your imagination goes gaga, it gathers every possible debris that may not be useful to you for processing and storage and without the Holy Spirit to filter off the debris you do not need, your mental processes become cluttered. The more clutter you have, the more difficult it is to access pertinent and positive information which you require to be successful. For instance, when you allow your imagination free rein, you are likely to dig up the filth of past hurts which you may not want to give up; and as you constantly reflect on such filth, you are likely to keep contemplating vengeance, stewing in refusal to forgive as well as its attendant bitter streams which do not bring clean water. As you clog your mental processes with such filth, creativity and the power of positive thinking becomes a distant ray of light in a dark starless sky.

Steps to Greatness

Written by Uyoyou Christiana Charles-Iyoha

Everyone born of God is destined for greatness. The Bible is replete with regular people who received incredible greatness based on their relationship with God. Abraham became great and the father of nations on account of his relationship with God. King David attained greatness from being committed and faithful to God. King Solomon surrendered it all to God and was the greatest King of his time.

Even in history and contemporary times, we daily read about regular people like you and I who became great because God made them great. That same God, Jehovah, the El-Shaddai to whom all power belong is still in the business of making people great and you can be the next in line for divine greatness. Some of the ways in which you can become great by the help of God include but are not limited to:

Be careful what you watch, what you listen to and what you read as all these have a way of impacting mental processes. If you spend time reading about, listening to or watching videos on impossibilities, chances are you will think that there are always impossibilities on every step of the way. So like the lazy man described in the book of Proverbs, you will always see fierce lions in the streets and refuse to take the bull by the horn.

Put an End to Wandering 2

Written by Uyoyou Christiana Charles-Iyoha

Therefore, request help of God so that He will put an end to wandering in every sphere of your life in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. When you ask help of God, God responds and amazingly, swiftly. This is because God says to call on Him in the day of trouble and He will answer. Significantly, we humble ourselves when we ask God for help and God is always pleased with the humble.

The sick and dying servant of the Centurion mentioned in Luke Chapter 7 verses 1 to 10 is not referred to as a believer; but because his master the Centurion requested help from Jesus, the servant was healed. Quite significant is the fact that the Centurion humbled himself to not only request help of Jesus through the elders of the Jews, but he also insisted that he considered himself unworthy for Jesus to come under his roof. Beloved, you may not be Christian right now. You can ask Jesus for help and thereafter invest in a quality relationship that will yield great dividends for you both now and in eternity. Do not delay. Act now so that wandering and fruitless labor will come to an end in Jesus mighty name.    Wandering as a result of challenges such as financial challenges, unproductive labor and land, marital challenges can be resolved by the wisdom and knowledge of God to give stability. Please see Isaiah Chapter 33 verse 6. The wisdom of God has the capacity to make the land and labor productive, to resolve financial challenges, to resolve marital challenges, as well as other challenges. That will definitely end the captivity of wandering and its related challenges.

The reason for wandering is lack of direction, lack of purpose, lack of fulfillment. But God has given me purpose, therefore fulfillment and by virtue of my salvation by faith in Christ, the ground, the land that God blessed you with will always produce bountiful harvests in Jesus mighty name. Please see Deuteronomy Chapter 8 verses 7 to 10, 18, 11 verses 10 to 15, Zechariah Chapter 8 verse 12, Isaiah Chapter 30 verse 23, Genesis Chapter 8 verse 22. Therefore, no more wandering on account of financial challenges and what appears to be unprofitable labor because God blesses the work of your hands. Please see Deuteronomy Chapter 8 verses 7 to 10, 18; 11 verses 10 to 15, Zechariah Chapter 8 verse 12 and Isaiah Chapter 30 verse 23.

God in His infinite mercies and grace will give you wisdom, His wisdom that is profitable to direct.; to master your finances, to master your mental processes – imagination, dreams, thought processes, desires, emotions, etc; to master your time so that you invest time rather than fritter it; to master the relationships God brings your way so that you do not derail from His plans and purposes for your life as well as master your taste buds so that you do not eat what will be injurious to your body.

Put an End to Wandering 1

Written by Uyoyou Christiana Charles-Iyoha

You can put an end to wandering in your life in Jesus mighty name.

Kings and priests do not wander in darkness to look for solutions to challenges. Kings summon up the supposedly wise men and women in their kingdoms or even from other kingdoms to proffer solutions to their challenges. The Biblical Joseph was not an Egyptian but he proffered the solutions to the challenges posed by Pharaoh’s by Pharaoh’s dreams after he successfully interpreted them. Daniel was not a Babylonian but he proffered solutions to some of the challenges faced by Kings Nebuchadnezzar, Belshazzar and Darius.  Huram was recruited by King Solomon to work on the engraving in the temple and his palace. So kings do not wander from pace to place to seek solutions. The solutions are brought to them in their palaces.

Priests on the other hand do not summon people to provide solutions for them. Rather, they ask God for solutions and proffer solutions to the challenges of the people God sends or leads them to. If then believers are kings and priests on account of the finished work of the Lord Jesus Christ on the cross, why then do believers wander from diverse pillars to posts in search of the solutions they can ask God for on their knees even in the privacy of their bedrooms. Beloved, why seek water from broken cisterns that do not hold water when Jesus Christ through the outpouring of the Holy has blessed you with living waters that do not run dry, that are new every morning that can slake any kind of thirst be it spiritual, physical, mental, financial, emotional, marital, parenting, you just name it. Christ in you, the hope of glory has paid whatever price is required to give you any solution you seek in life. You do not have to wander in trackless deserts and be an unfortunate human guinea pig in the hands of spiritualists looking for whom to swindle.

Enhance Your Personal Capacity

Written by Uyoyou Christiana Charles-Iyoha

A person’s resource to a large extent is the reflection of his or her capacity. In the parable of talents recorded in Matthew Chapter 25 verses 13 to, the Bibles states that the servants each received gifts according to their abilities. This implies that their master identified their pre-existing capacities or abilities and matched them with the required resources for their enlargement. Enlargement is therefore a function of a person’s capacity. That is to say that increase in resources is dependent on increased capacity to manage the resources effectively. Enlargement of resources is therefore correspondent to enlarged capacities. Please see Isaiah Chapter 54 verses 1 to 3.

That perhaps explains why God will not expect you to jump at a responsibility you have no capacity to handle. Therefore, evaluate your personal capacity in the light of the enlargement you seek so that you should expand and enhance your existing capacities to accommodate whatever enlargement you require from God. This implies that personal capacity development is very important.

To enlarge, you stretch and as you stretch, enlargement grows because God will keep enlarging you as you stretch your capacities. The human capacity is elastic and can be stretched to whatever dimensions you are capable of stretching it to. Please see Genesis Chapter 13 verses 14 to 18. The ability to stretch is as much the work of the Holy Spirit as much as your own diligence to enhance your personal capacity and competence to the desired height. It is important that you increase your mental, spiritual and physical capacities.

The Maze

 Written by Uyoyou Christiana Charles-Iyoha

Father, I lift my voice to you
To seek direction
True direction and guidance
Order my steps in Your word
Order my speech in Your Word
And give me relationships that glorify Your name
And enhance Your plans and purposes for my life
So that I will prosper in your ways.

Where do I turn from here?
Left, right, backwards, forwards?
So many voices beckoning, yet none certain
I reflect on experiences, expertise, intelligence, lessons learnt
Yet none appears certain
Then I prayed
And He answered
My word is a lamp to your feet and a light to your path.

Run Away from Strife and Contention

Written by Uyoyou Christiana Charles-Iyoha

Contentions start with words, snowball into the strife of tongues and escalate to fisticuffs and who knows what next – sorcery as in the case of Moab, murder as in the case Cain and Abel, Joseph and his brothers, Daniel and the satraps, Haman and Mordecai.

Strife and contention are akin to thorns and weeds in a farm that pierce the plants, compete for nourishment and space for growth. Strife and contention is the same as thorns piercing the plants – daily strife and contention can erode confidence, faith and determination as well as courage, the same function thorns perform to choke out life from plants. Strife and contention can wear out your resolve to excel which explains why the best solution to strife and contention is to always walk away from the strife and contention. Like weeds, they also contend for space in your mental processes - introducing bile such as anger, resentment, bitterness, unforgiveness that if not wisely and instantly thrown out can block out productive, fruitful, spiritually, physically, mentally and financially rewarding mental processes. So rather than pay attention to your field, you expend energies fighting battles you should not be fighting because you are paying attention to strife and contention.

Isaac avoided contentions. Rather than contend with the Philistines who closed up the wells dug by his father, he dug new wells and when the herdsmen of Gerar quarreled with Isaac’s herdsmen over the new wells, Isaac and his herdsmen dug other wells and when there was no more contention over the new well, Isaac named the new well ‘Rehoboth’ meaning God has made room for us, and we shall be fruitful in the land.

Expect Great Things From God

Written by Uyoyou Christiana Charles-Iyoha

It is what you expect that you experience. If you always expect good things, then you will always experience good. But if your expectations are always negative, then chances are you will always have negative experiences and share negative stories which no one really likes to hear. Generally, people like to hear positive reports and comments about life. A life filled with positive expectations will always therefore have positive reports and comments that impact other people positively.
God desires positive expectations from His children. He desires that His children anticipate good things from Him irrespective of whatever present circumstances and trials they are experiencing in life. That is why He stated in Jeremiah Chapter 29 verses 11 to 12 that His thoughts towards His children are thoughts of good and not of evil, designed to give His children an expected end of good.

Positive expectations allow you to connect to the extravagant grace of God for humanity. The Syro Phoenician woman was full of positive expectations which explain why she said to Jesus that even the dogs eat of the crumbs that fall from the master’s table. Significantly, her expectations of healing for her child were met as she did not leave without a positive answer from Jesus Christ. Please see Matthew Chapter 13 verses 22 to 28.
