The Power of Divine Leverages

Written by Uyoyou Christiana Charles-Iyoha

Is it possible to move from the dust and ash heap positions of life to positions of influence, in point of fact, great influence, power, wealth and fame through divine leverages? Absolutely!

Divine leverages are leverages bestowed on a person by God for the purpose of achieving divine purposes. The Bible records in Acts Chapter 7 verses 9 to 10 that God was with Joseph, delivered him from all his troubles and gave him favor and wisdom in the presence of Pharaoh, the King of Egypt. Pharaoh made Joseph governor over Egypt and all his house, that is to say that Joseph was next to Pharaoh in the political organogram and power sharing structure of Egypt. Please read also Genesis Chapter 41 for further details.

Joseph was not a citizen of Egypt, had no claims to earthly royalty, was not even a palace guard or cleaner yet he showed up at the palace once, in point of fact, just once and he became a great power broker in Egypt because divine leverages were working for him.

The awesome sanctifying presence of God in his life as well as the additional leverages of favor before God and man; and wisdom to proffer the solutions to the challenges in the land contributed to Joseph’s spontaneous rise to political power, relevance, wealth and fame in Egypt.

Beloved, it is significant that God gave Joseph the favor and wisdom which uplifted him in the presence of Pharaoh, the King of Egypt who could appoint Joseph as governor over Egypt. Please remember that the Bible records that a person’s gift makes room for him or her and brings him or her before great people (Proverbs Chapter 18 verse 16); and a person who excels in his or her work will stand before royalty and not unknown people. The God given wisdom was for Joseph to excel before Pharaoh and his court in addition to making room for Joseph before  Pharaoh  and his court while favor, the divine favor of God would catapult Joseph to a position of prominence in a land he entered as a slave, unknown, unsung then; and later imprisoned.

God is indeed wonderful. With His divine leverages at work in the life of any of His children, those children can rise to positions of great influence, wealth and power in the land. Esther was an orphan and a foreigner in Persia. Yet divine favor took her to the throne room of Persia where alongside her cousin Mordecai, she served the divine purpose of God in crafting a decree which countered Haman’s annihilate the Jews decree.
