God is Good

Written by Uyoyou Christiana Charles-Iyoha

Goodness is a cardinal nature of God and His character. Please see Psalm 34 verse 8 and Romans Chapter 8 verse 28. God is good and causes all things through providence to work together for good to His children just so that His children accomplish divine purposes. This implies that some seeming negative experiences are actually stepping stones that enable you to stretch your potentials and become a blessing to humanity. Some difficult tests in different aspects of life are also designed to prepare and transform you until you become who and what God planned for you from the foundation of the world. Therefore, capitalize on and take advantage of both the challenges that assail you and the opportunities that show up through the challenges as they engender transformation. Please see Jeremiah Chapter 29 verse 11.

Do not give up or give in as capitulating will truncate the transformation process and you will never arrive at the desired destination. The Master of the universe is in perfect control of everything in the universe. He knows how to reverse everything for your sake. Israel went to Egypt for bread but when they left, they had an abundance of silver and gold. Please see Exodus Chapter 12 verse 31, Proverbs Chapter 3 verses 5 to 8.

In point of fact, if you can see the mind of God concerning you, you will be too amazed to ever think that God does not care about you. In fact, you will be trumpeting God’s goodness globally. Open your mouth and declare God’s faithfulness in your life. God is still faithful. He does not change. God can still furnish a table in the wilderness. He can change your situation suddenly. He can do much more than you could ever ask. It is not about what people can do but what God can do.

In our relationship with God, He does not show us the full picture because our walk with God is a walk of faith which explains why there is always a difference between process and promise. Though the process may not look like the promise it will eventually and suddenly lead to the promise. This is to say that the process leads to the promise because embedded in the process are activities and utterances that will bring about the manifestation of the promise. The implication then is that if there is no process, then there can be no actualization of the promise. Therefore, go through processes diligently and importantly trust God in the process. God is still God in the midst of challenges.

Additionally, confronting your promises requires confronting your CHALLENGES as challenges will definitely show up in the process. The children of Israel jubilated when Pharaoh practically shooed them out of Egypt but little did they know that the same Pharaoh would show up in pursuit after them with the finest crop of his army. Also, the numerous challenges they experienced in the wilderness did not stop the promise of God from manifesting. They did get to the Promised Land and took full possession of the land. Beloved, God shows His children the fruit; if you like call them the opportunities first. This is because if He shows the challenges first, believers may likely be intimidated and refuse to embark on the journey or processes that will lead to the fulfillment of the promise.  Your passion for the promise gives you the faith to confront the problems. Abraham received the promise to become a father of nations but it took many years after the promise was made for the child of promise through Sarah to be born.
Acknowledge and seek God’s help concerning His promises. Leviticus Chapter 25 verse 25. Naomi pursued this promise of God and God answered her. Pursue the promises of God in faith and total surrender. God settled Ruth and she became the wife of Boaz, a very wealthy loving husband and a son who is one of the ancestors of the Lord Jesus Christ. God also settled Naomi. Additionally, the elders prophesied into the life of Ruth as they prayed for Boaz. They prophesied that she would be like Rachel and Leah. Ruth conceived and gave birth to Obed.

Beloved, it is important that you know, understand and appropriate God’s promises into your life because the promises of God are always yes and amen in Christ Jesus. May God who is always fill your life with His goodness at all times in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Shalom
