Be Strategic

Written by Uyoyou Christiana Charles-Iyoha

Do not expend energies running in wide circles that lead nowhere. Focus on a destination and decide on the best, fastest but godly and safest route to get there; right on time; God’s time. This calls for divine guidance from God. This also presupposes that you have ascertained the specified destination from God; therefore you know where you are headed but require a strategic roadmap.

Be strategically positioned in or at a location where people can easily access you. For instance, a hill is a conspicuous place, a vantage point because people can see what is on the hill. This is to say that you have to be rightly positioned where people can see you and reach you. Accessibility is therefore important – people should be able to see you.

Give empowering gifts. Empowering gifts empower people to become who God created them to be, enable them to achieve divine destinies. Therefore, you should love and enjoy teaching people to do things right.

The responsibility of a Christian is to solve problems for humanity and not only cater for his or her family’s needs. Joseph did. Daniel did. Esther did. Nehemiah did. So also are many historical and contemporary people that you have either heard about, read about, watched videos of and have even seen. The problems they solved moved them up in the ladder of life and wealth. The choice is yours. God has a place for you in the kingdom. Know exactly what to do and how to do it.

Develop your craft. Challenge the area of your limitation. Creative people always find ways to transcend the limits put on them. Learn if you have to learn and ensure you learn the right things.

Partner if you need to but make sure you are working with strategic partners that you can leverage on their strengths to get more mileage.

Be You. Do not tell lies or pretend to be who and what you are not. Be honest and transparent. Let your partners know upfront what your capacities are so that they can fill in whatever gaps you have.

Be diligent. Please see Proverbs Chapter 27 verses 23 to 27. Pay attention to details. Have an analytical mind that makes analysis on the basis of sufficient but intelligently gathered information that is relevant to what you are about to decide on as well as act on. Also, work with current information and ensure beyond all reasonable doubt that the information at your disposal is correct, relevant, current and not outdated. Do not for any reason whatsoever assume that the information you were given is the most current information. Take time to cross check whatever information you have with the relevant authorities to ensure you are working with the right information. Working with wrong information is as good as steering your ship right into an iceberg meaning that no matter how fast you travel on a wrong route, you will never get to your destination.

Do not waste ample time on people who are stuck in a rut; who never want to change; are opposed to change because they are as good as people who are hard of hearing or completely deaf. Talking to such people is not only a waste of time but also gives the impression that you who is doing the talking does not know what you are doing or even does not know where you are going. The implication is that you should be strategic in your choice of relationships. Negative relationships impact negatively while positive relations not impact positively but also have the additional benefits of moving you up in the ladder of life. Ruth walked with Naomi and became the wife of Boaz and ancestor of our Lord Jesus Christ. Samson walked with Delilah and was destroyed, painfully so at the prime of his life.

Beloved, be strategic and move rapidly in the ladder of success. God bless you and make His face shine upon you in Jesus mighty name. Be blessed and enlarged in Jesus mighty name. Shalom.
