The Overtakers Unction

The race is neither to the swift nor to the strong. Please see Ecclesiastes Chapter 9 verse 11, Romans Chapter 9 verses 15 to 16. The overtakers unction is predicated on obedience; in particular, prompt, willing and loving obedience to and for God. Elijah who ran on foot was able to outrun and overtake Ahab who rode on a chariot because Elijah was obedient to God. That explains why the hand of God came upon Elijah to outrun and overtake Ahab who rode on a chariot. The question then is how did Elijah obey God? In verse 1, God instructed Elijah to go show himself to Ahab and inform Ahab that God was going to send rain on the earth. Considering what had transpired between Ahab and Elisha in addition to the fact that the land had not experienced even a shower not to talk of rain in about three years, it was quite a tall order and scary task for Elijah to go tell Ahab that God was sending rain. Despite the risks, Elijah presented himself to Ahab, significantly not to immediately announce the rain but to initiate divine processes that would lead to the downpour. In the process, a good number of the prophets of Baal and Asherah, about eight hundred were executed. But more important, Elijah repaired the altar of the Lord and then announced rain. While Ahab went feasting, Elijah stayed with God, bowed in intercession until there was a cloud. As Ahab scampered home in his chariot, Elijah attempted to run as fast as his legs would carry him. But the ever loving God Whom Elijah obeyed and served lovingly intervened. Elijah not only outran and overtook Ahab: not a single drop of rain touched him. The rewards of obedience, you may say.

Call Forth the Resources

God has given you everything you need to fulfill purpose. Your task is to call forth the resources from the realm of the spirit to manifest in the physical so you can use them.  The resources you require to move from whatever point you are in to the next point you desire are in the Word of God which hopefully you know and understand; and are further deposited within you as intangible resources. To translate these intangible resources into tangible resources, you will need them to call them forth into existence through fervent prayers and prophetic declarations. The land of Israel experienced drought and consequently famine for about three years. One day, the prophet Elijah reversed the situation in fervent prayers and intercession after calling forth the rain in prophetic declarations he made to King Ahab. Please see 1^st Kings Chapter 18 verses 41 to 46, James Chapter 5 verses 16 to 18. Prophet Elisha also called forth food security at a time of great famine. Please see 2^nd Kings Chapter 7.

Therefore, call in the harvests. Open your mouth and call in the harvests of whatever you want. Please see Ecclesiastes Chapter 8 verse 4. You have power in your mouth. Give the angels God assigned to you work to do by calling forth the resources you require. Please see Psalm 103 verse 20 and Hebrews Chapter 1 verse 14. Angels are waiting to serve you but will only do so when you declare something. Call the things that are not as though they exist – Jeremiah Chapter 29 verse 11, Romans Chapter 4 verse 17. Plant with your mouth and call in the harvest with your mouth; this is the principle of using your mouth to partner with God to fulfill His plans and purposes in your life.

The Land of Affluence

The land of affluence is the land that God gives to each child of His. It is the land where God reigns, He is honored, respected and served by the people of the land. It is the land where the Holy Spirit is given preeminence and He is in charge of every activity, utterances, etc. This is to say that if you want your God given land to be affluent, then you must allow the Holy Spirit direct and supervise whatever you do on the land.

The land flows with milk and honey, always and does not stop flowing. What does it mean to flow? It is coming from a source that never runs dry and God is the source of the flow and God sustains the flow. Please see Deuteronomy Chapter 6 verses 1 to 3.

The land of affluence is the land that God waters. How? It is strategically positioned by God to receive the rain of heaven in the right quantity or proportion and at the right season. God cares for the land of affluence and watches over it from the beginning of the year to the end of the year. Because the land is watered by God, and receives the right amount of water when required, the land produces abundant agricultural harvests of grain, wine, trees that produce oil; other cash crops, honey, etc so that there is food security at all times. There is a relationship between water and abundant harvests. Water is one of the ingredients for nourishment and growth. Please see Ezekiel Chapter 17 verses 5 to 8, 19 verse 10, Jeremiah Chapter 17 verse 8, Psalm 1 verse 3, Deuteronomy Chapter 8 verse 7, 11 verses 10 to 15, Leviticus Chapter 26 verses 4 to 5, 9 to 10, Job Chapter 14 verses 7 to 9, Psalm 68 verses 8 to 9, 104 verses 13 to 17, Numbers Chapter 24 verses 6 to 7. No one goes hungry in this land of great affluence and possibilities. This is because the land is also rich in mineral resources that can be mined to generate wealth for the owners. The Power of Words

Words are powerful. They frame thought patterns. What a person hears and believes is very important as words always have the capacity to impact people and their lives either positively or negatively. That is why you should cross check the source of the words you hear, internalize and believe. Therefore, whoever you pay attention to; internalize the words and speak the words is very important. Who you listen to is very important.

Words that originate from God always have the capacity to enrich and enlarge you and make you a better person. These words are like the rain that comes in due season; that is at the right time to bless the earth. The word of God is powerful. The word of God gives believers advantage over the world by giving believers advance information of what God has done concerning our lives and whatever situation confronts us.

It is a battle of words and words that originate from the kingdom of darkness are like the polluted waters of Jericho that was causing barrenness and death in the land. Please see 2^nd Kings Chapter 2 verses 18 to 22, Exodus Chapter 15 verses 22 to 26. That is why Elisha went to the source of the water where the water was polluted to bring about healing of the water, decontamination from source and healing in the land.

This is why the devil manipulates through negative reports. Refuse to entertain and believe negative reports. The devil consistently uses his agents to create and foster contrary and negative situations through their speeches and actions – daily confessions of negativity, impossibilities and what have you to make you think, focus on and reflect on impossibilities, and how to cope; sometimes resulting in worries, anxieties, and fear and of course, unbelief and consequently recourse to sinful actions, usually suggestions from the pit of hell.

Succeed Through the Word

For my thoughts [are] not your thoughts, neither [are] your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For [as] the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper [in the thing] whereto I sent it. For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap [their] hands. Instead of the thorn shall come up the fir tree, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree: and it shall be to the LORD for a name, for an everlasting sign [that] shall not be cut off. Isaiah Chapter 55 verses 8 to 13 KJV

The word of God has creative abilities and capacities. These abilities are activated each time the Word of God is prophesied into a situation, our lives. To prophesy is poles apart from to proclaim or proclamation which is official declaration. To prophesy according to the OXFORD Advanced Learner’s Dictionary of English is to say what will happen in the future. However, because humans do not know or see the future except through the Word, it will be more accurate to say that prophesying is speaking the Word of God in the Bible into situations or he lives of people or your own life in order to activate the creative power in the Word of God. Please see Hebrews Chapter 11 verse 3, Romans Chapter 4 verse 17 and Ezekiel Chapter 37 verses 1 to 14.

The Word of God has power, great power to always accomplish what God purposes – Isaiah Chapter 55 verses 8 to 13. Scripture cannot be broken. Therefore when you have the Word of God you have everything you could ever need in life. This is because the Word of God in your heart, in your thought processes, imagination, your desires, and your likes will give you everything you want as long as they are within the will of God – Hebrews Chapter 11 verse 3.

Elijah had the Word of God – he prophesied rain after a long period of drought and there was a downpour on the same day. Peter had toiled all night yet at the Word of God released by Jesus Christ, Who is the Word of God, Peter let down his nets for a haul and the boat was full of fish. In both situations bordering on despair, the Word of God reversed the situations to joy, happiness, blessings of God and abundance. Drought and fruitless toils that characterize unsuccessful activities are not of God. The will of God is for His children to enjoy fruitfulness, rain of blessings, success and abundance.
