God designed every child of His for success and one
of the ways through which God empowers His children to be successful is by
creating divine opportunities for His children. Whenever God wants to bring
about a change in your life, He brings about an opportunity which if utilized
brings about a change in your life. It
is also significant to note that God is always creating opportunities for His
children. However it is necessary to understand the types of opportunities that
God brings to His children to effect changes in their lives.
Opportunity can be described as a favorable time,
moment, location or set of circumstances. The purpose of opportunity is to
function as an agent of change. God created opportunities on the other hand are
divinely appointed times, moments, locations or set of circumstances designed
to move you from point A to B in life. Significantly such moments often come
disguised as challenges, appear inconsequential and if a person is not
sensitive to the Spirit of God, chances are you will miss out on such
opportunities. Martha, the sister of Mary missed a very significant opportunity
of fellowshipping with the Lord Jesus Christ in her house because she paid
attention to serving food rather than spending quality time with her Savior.
Opportunity is a function of two commodities, time
and location. This is to say that opportunity is sometimes, most often, time
bound. Therefore, take advantage of opportunities when you spot them. The
challenge however in succeeding through divine opportunities is recognizing
divine opportunities. Therefore to succeed through God created opportunities,
you will need to ask God to always open your eyes of understanding to all the
divine opportunities He is always creating for you. That way, you will
experience the divine changes designed to move you up the ladder of life as you
utilize such opportunities.
It is also important to understand that preparation,
in point of fact, adequate preparation is significant to maximizing
opportunities. What then is adequate preparation? Adequate preparation is
knowing exactly what to do in the event of an opportunity, such as showcasing a
talent, sharing knowledge and expertise, providing solutions to what appears to
be extremely difficult situations and resolving knotty issues. Therefore, build and enhance your capacity by
learning all there is to learn which you can use later. The training builds and
enhances your intellectual capital and net worth.
The Biblical Joseph for instance recognized a divine
opportunity when he interpreted the dreams of the butler and the baker. That
was the real opportunity that eventually led to his meeting with Pharaoh. If
Joseph had ignored that opportunity by despising the opportunity to interpret
the dreams of his fellow prisoner through assumptions that the fellow prisoners
could not in any way impact his life, he would have missed out on the
opportunity to stand before Pharaoh. That event was the launch pad to the
divine connection with Pharaoh.
Beloved, permit me to close this article with the
prophecy that God is bringing an opportunity for you to change positions from
lack to affluence; from shame to glory, from insignificance to significance,
from disdain to respect and honor. It is my prayer that you will recognize such
opportunities and maximize them in Jesus mighty name
