How? Do not superimpose your knowledge and
understanding of God and His ways on people. God relates with and deals with
peoplle at diverse levels of knowledge and understanding. If for instance God
is teaching people to trust Him for provision, it is not in your place to
provide for them if God does not direct you to do so. This is applicable in
every area of life.
While it is scriptural to give to the poor and the
needy, to support the work of the kingdom, it is also important to be conscious
of the leading of God so that you do not attempt to play God in the lives of
people and consequently incur the wrath of God on yourself. This is because God
alone is God and He created the people you are attempting to play God over.
Besides, God alone knows the entire makeup of these people and therefore knows
the best approach to get them to where He wants them to be. Attempting to play
God in their lives could therefore tantamount to working against God plans,
purposes and timing in their lives. Moses attempted to play God in the lives of
the Israelites in Egypt. The same Israelites opposed him and made known how he
killed an Egyptian who was beating an Israelite. That led to the self exile of
Moses in Midian for forty years.
